#325 - 327. 3 Holiday Outifts from My Winter Capsule

You barely need any clothes for the holiday. No, I'm not advocating for a naked Christmas. You barely need any clothes for the holiday. No, I'm not advocating for a naked Christmas.I've been a little quiet over here. It's been hectic with the holidays, finishing up work projects, planning our honeymoon and putting my life back together after that whole mugging incident. But anyhow... in case you are wondering...

I am still rocking my winter capsule wardrobe and it's been very holiday-conducive.

Josh and I packed up an overnight bag for Christmas Eve (we stayed at my mom's) and I literally only brought pajamskis, an extra shirt, jeans and shoes (and toiletries and underwear and all that jazz).Posing by the stove... cause that's where the light was.  Posing by the stove... cause that's where the light was.We spent Christmas Eve with my Mom, brother & sister-in-law and some friends. I just threw on this old faux fur vest from LOFT (Target currently has a similar one and it's great!) over my cheapie Old Navy sweater dress and BOOM! Holiday city.Fur vests = highly recommended. PS this is Patsy trying to hold my hand during grace.  Fur vests = highly recommended. Festive and comfortable.First time I wore this skirt! Hard to believe, but true.  First time I wore this skirt! Hard to believe, but true. And remember this shirt from the last photo? Me too! I've worn it with this comfy and simple black skirt to two fancier holiday gatherings this month. The key is tuck a glitzy bib necklace under the shirt. It immediately goes from blah to Zsa Zsa Gabor.I guess what I am trying to say is all you really need is jeans, a shirt, dress, skirt, one pair of shoes and a luxe vest and you're good for a whole holiday season. Who knew!

Here's a little more about why I'm doing this capsule wardrobe thing & how I pared everything down. And if you want something totally unrelated, here's why I don't answer my door.
