An Ode to Cheugs

Cheugy is hard to define, but easy to identify. And you’ll find lots of examples here. “An Ode to Cheugs,” is the perfect bedtime story for your next girl’s #vacay, written by a woman who loves her Uggs and will be stopping at Starbucks on her way to Target later today.

An Ode to Cheugs

One cheug, Two cheug, Red cheug, Blue cheug,
PINK cheug,  Blue cheug, Old cheug, New cheug.

This one loves to go to barre.
This one has a mason jar.

Say! What a lot of cheugs there are.
Yes. Some love chevron, and some love Uggs.

Some drink PSLs from statement mugs.

Some are obsessed, and live in the Midwest,
And some are very, very #blessed.

Why are they obsessed and Midwest and #blessed?
I do not know, it’s your best guess.

Some are short, and some are tall.
The tall one is obsessed with fall.

Pyramid schemes and boss babe dreams
Lulu Lemon and skinny jeans
From there to here and here to there
Cheugy things are everywhere.

Here are some who like to drink.
They drink and drink and drink and drink.

Hey girl! It’s fine! Modern farmhouse design.
These mamas clearly love their wine. (But first, coffee)

Some are Charlottes and some are Carries.
Some rosé all day and read Potter, Harry.
Where do they come from? Pinterest I’d say.
And they stopped at Starbucks on the way.

They did a thing, had all the feels.
At Home Goods found all the deals.
They sip La Croix, watch Friends at night.
They eat lasagna with delight.

Live Laugh Love is what they say.
Let’s all cheug another day.

Love,
Molly, who is drinking a BeachPlum La Croix right this minute.
